Healthy Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Ingredients:
½ a cup of oats
½ a cup of water
½ a cup of skimmed milk
½ tbsp brown sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
Sprinkle of nutmeg
1 small apple
0% fat natural yoghurt
Handful of raisins
Sprinkle of flaked almonds

Method:

Put the oats, water and milk into a saucepan and leave to simmer on a low heat.

Peel the apple and chop into bite sized chunks, making sure to keep stirring your porridge to stop it from burning while you chop.

Add ½ a tbsp of brown sugar into the porridge and stir well.

Add ¼ of a tsp of cinnamon and a sprinkle of nutmeg, stir again.

Turn off the heat and add the chopped apple, mix well.

Pour into a bowl and serve with a dollop of 0% fat natural yoghurt, a handful of raisins and a sprinkle of flaked almonds. Enjoy!
