I bought the Too Faced ‘Natural Eyes’ palette as a payday treat and it’s definitely my best purchase of the year so far!
I have wanted to buy a Too Faced palette for a while now, especially after buying the Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer, so when it came through the post a few days after ordering it online I was so excited to try it out!
The perfect chance to give it a whirl was last Saturday night as I was going out for my friend’s birthday. I had looked at plenty of tutorials online to see what shades worked best together so I had a plan of which shades I was going to use.
Anybody else get excited as they open a brand new palette? It’s such a satisfying feeling seeing the crisp, brand new colours in the pan without any marks or brush strokes.
I decided to go for a simple taupe look for my first go, patting ‘Nudie’ all across my lid as a base, popping ‘Cashmere Bunny’ in my crease and deepening the outer edge with ‘Sexpresso’. This was a very matte finish, which I love, but I felt like I needed a little bit more of something! I patted ‘Push-Up’ onto my lid for a subtle sparkle – perfect!
I loved how it turned out, but I think next time I go for a night out I would use it to supplement my all time favourite Urban Decay Naked 2 palette as I feel that’s more versatile.
However, I have been using this palette every day since last weekend, as it’s perfect for a neutral daytime look. It’s compact and has enough colours for three different looks, so it’s perfect for traveling or for quickly doing your makeup before work. I’ve been using ‘Silk Teddy’ all over my lid and ‘Nudie’ in the outer corner and crease for a natural look this week. Wearing my hair with a natural tousled curl and popping on my new favourite lippy by Soap & Glory from the Sexy Mother Pucker line in ‘Cinnamon Beige’. It’s a little bit different to my usual winged eyeliner look!
Also, the shade ‘Heaven’ is the perfect colour to highlight your inner corner and brow bone, so this palette is good even when you’re not wearing full eyeshadow.
So if you’re looking for a simple, pretty palette that’s got some gorgeous, feminine colours – the Too Faced ‘Natural Eyes’ palette is the one for you!
