Autumn Favourites | Skincare, Fragrance & Makeup

Autumn is my favourite time of year for beauty products! I always change up my skincare routine, grab the products that smell most autumnal (Hello Pumpkin and spices!) and start using more bronze and gold eyeshadow shades. I LOVE AUTUMN!

L’Oréal Pure Clay Face Washes

Almost as soon as I hit my twenties I started noticing my skin type had changed, meaning I had to start the search for new products to add to my skincare routine. One brand that I’ve been absolutely loving is L’Oréal, so I’ve added quite a few of their products to my skincare regime and makeup bag!

I’ve been using the Pure Clay Detox Wash every morning since before our wedding back in July, it’s the perfect wash for cleansing and detoxifying your skin first thing. I’ve cut out exfoliating face washes from my skincare as I was over exfoliating (not a good thing to do if you have oily skin, too much exfoliation can cause more oil to be produced!) so this face wash is the perfect, creamy consistency for my morning face wash. Just make sure to rinse the sink afterwards as the charcoal can leave black marks.

I’ve been using the Pure Clay Purity Wash when I have a bath or shower along with my facial cleansing brush. The eucalyptus helps to mattify your skin while also smelling like a spa, it’s lovely and relaxing after a long day!

Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Body Mist

My husband bought me this divine smelling body mist from Victoria’s Secret for my birthday in September. I love the sweet smell of white cotton and pink lily, which isn’t overpowering so is wearable everyday. I think the smell reminds me of one of the apple perfumes from DKNY, but I’m not sure why as this one is not supposed to smell like apples!

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I’m one for wearing black winged eyeliner and sometimes a fair bit of eyeshadow, so I need a good cleanser to get rid of my make up in the evenings. Miscellar water alone doesn’t quite cut it for me, so when I saw this in The Body Shop I had to try it, and I love it! It’s quick and easy as it just melts onto your skin, removing all make up with a quick swipe of a warm damp cloth. The product seems to be disappearing quite quickly in the little tub, but I do use it daily!

The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation

This one I’ve mentioned on my blog already this month, I’m obsessed! The Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation is amazing! It’s got good coverage, your skin stays matte all day and you don’t need much of it to cover your entire face. Win win! This shade is slightly too pale for me but my tan from our honeymoon has totally disappeared now, so it’s almost the perfect match.

Organix Anti-breakage Keratin Oil

Since having caramel balayage my ends have been quite dry, although I haven’t had my hair cut since before it was dyed so it’s well over due a good trim! I’ve been using nourishing shampoo and conditioner along with my usual heat protection spray and coconut oil, but I needed something a bit extra. I spray this on before drying and after styling for a smooth and healthy looking hair do.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette

Now this one is my absolute FAVOURITE this month, I purchased this on our honeymoon at a Sephora in Rome (my idea of heaven!) and I’ve been using it so much. I had wanted it for ages so my husband told me to just get it, and as I have been told husbands are meant to stop you from shopping I thought I would jump at the fact he was encouraging it!

It is 100% one of my best purchases this year. I can get so many looks out of this palette, but my fave is using ‘Milk Chocolate’ in my crease, ‘Marzipan’ all over the lid, ‘Haute Chocolate’ in the outer corner and lower lashline, and ‘Triple Fudge’ for smokey eyeliner. I can smoke it out even more for a night time look, so I love it!

L’Oréal Hydra Genius

My last, but by no means least, favourite this autumn has to be the L’Oréal Hydra Genius. I have the normal/combination formula, which I’ve been using for a while now. I love this stuff! With combination skin, sometimes I feel like creams are too heavy for my skin and make it feel greasy, but this gel-like formula is perfect! I use it morning and night, so no need for two types of moisturiser. It also seems to last a long time, as I’m only just on my second bottle.

So there you have it, my Autumn 2017 favourites! Now where are my snuggly socks, candles and a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
